Previously only purchased high end appliances. After living with one 13 years where for the last four its performance was sub par decided to go with no frills. Has a top lint screen which I never had although seems to work better,but I don™™t care for drop opening door which makes it harder to load and further to reach in to empty. But love the inside light which some higher priced have dropped . Works good so far let see for how long.

I have to run dryer twice to dry full load, and it doesn't matter which setting I use (I've tried them all). Door design does not make it easy to load/unload dryer. Generally underwhelmed. If you usually have smaller loads of laundry perhaps this would not be as much of an issue for you.

What a disappointment in this dryer. Purchased from Costco and had them do delivery/set up. The first dryer that was delivered and set up didn't dry anything in 1 cycle. Costco sent out another one. This one has a dent inside the dryer. It does not dry anything in 1 - 70 minute cycle. It takes over 2 hours to dry towels in this dryer. What is strange is the lint tray only catches a tiny bit at the bottom right corner, some on the wrong side of the lint tray. After the first cycle finishes you open the door and there is lint on the bottom under the sealing cord too. We have always had Kenmore/Whirlpool appliances due to the quality but this dryer has been a huge disappointment.

Whirlpool products is always been a major product that I've always purchased throughout the past 50 years and I have never ran into a problem as I have been experiencing with this dryer they should take it from the market because this dryer is a big lemon does not work for me the tech has been out four times in one year for repairs and they still can't seem to get it right.now it's overheating and cutting off on his own w and coming back on his own , this thing is bad my rating on this thing is one.never before Whirlpool has put out such a piece of crap.

I bought a dryer knowing I had to do a conversion to propane but never did I think the. On conversion would entail removing the drum the belt the element and requiring the skill and time required of repair level that took an expertise of two people not one costing me 320!$my dryer cost 569$ they took my old dryer otherwise I would have kept it
I called 6 times and asked Costco and whirlpool about this before I had the dryer and was told the installation covered this so was lied to , they say misrepresenting isn™™t like that the small print said the conversion was not included but no where did it say it was so involved or you could not find a contractor to do it . It took about 6 weeks to find one who was able and o still have not got one to check the gas pressure and cannot use the dryer.

Even on hottest setting, there have been times I needed to rerun the dryer to dry the clothes. Dryer not too full, just seems like it does not always heat properly.

Too early to rate my new Whirlpool dryer because I've only had it for a week... Though, the reason I stayed with Whirlpool is because my previous dryer lasted 40 years. I had very few problems with requiring minimal repair, which I was able to do on my own.

Recently purchased this dryer, not real saatisfied with it, when I put it on High heat and run dryer for 40 minutes, it still does not dry the waistband on short or pants, or socks that are a little tangled and does not dry the towels completely, this was a bad selection I made, not happy with the product.

This is the second Whirlpool dryer I have had installed in 1 month. The dryers just do not dry clothes! I have reviewed the instruction manual and I have tried all the settings. It should not take 2 hours to dry one set of sheets. I am going to call to get someone to come and check my vent to see if that is a problem, however I had it blown 2 months ago so that shouldn™™t be the problem. In all fairness, I like the big drum but wished it dried my clothes. I may be hesitant to purchase any more Whirlpool appliances in the future.

I had mine installed Friday, 1/30/26. It™™s a gas dryer and is doing a horrible job at dying clothes. A top sheet, bottom sheet, 2 pillow cases for a queen size bed was not dry after 60 min on high heat. If I could snap my fingers, it would be gone.

I bought this dryer about a month ago because my exensive dryer kept breaking and it would cost as much as this dryer to repair the old one (for the second time). It's a little smaller than my last dryer which means the capacity from my washer to dryer has changed a bit as well, but it just takes a little longer for my clothes to dry. I don't like how the door slams and if it doesn't shut all the way, the dryer won't start, so that is why I am giving it 4 stars, but if you need a cheap dryer that does the job, this seems perfectly fine.
