No Dispenser for softener

This particular washer only Has a cup for bleach it does not have a pull out dispenser for softener or liquid wash detergent. Everything needs to be added. If you™€™re using liquid about the only thing that would work bass would be a pod that has everything included.

Passable, but barely!

This is the worst washing machine I've ever had. While it can handle clothing and towels loads alright, it can't handle normal household heavy items like blankets and throw rugs and sometimes sheets without going out of balance when spinning out. I've never had a washing machine trip up so bad on trying to wash blankets and throw rugs. I don't put super heavy loads in it and I use the bulky load setring. But it will try to spin out, clunk and shake like mad, then stop and try to regroup multiple times. Then I have to carefully, oh so carefully try to redistribute items, remove some and try spin out only mode, after unplugging this machine for a bit. Useless! I've had to take regular everyday items to the Laundromat 20 minutes away which is very inconvenient and costly. I wish I had not bought this washing machine! It works passably and I can't afford to just get rid of it and replace it with a better model. But I truly dislike this machine.

I miss my 20yr old Kenmore more than I can even explain to you! This brand new Whirlpool is such a disappointment™€¦ not enough water fills the tank, I have to add more water (cold) only choice and wash time is not long enough and each wash option looks the same, delicate and heavy duty wash the same! I wish this machine spent as much time or even half washing as it does spinning that might help. I find that I have to pause the cycle half way to stick my hand in and agitate the clothes during the wash and rinse cycles! I feel like my clothes are not clean and they come out way more wrinkled when finished. I don™€™t know who decided this was a better way to do laundry, with less water and hardly any agitation but they are very wrong!! Oh. It spins like a champ! But are the clothes really clean and rinsed?? No! Not a time saver or economic, way more water is used and time spent and Because I add more water™€¦ which only fills cold I now have to wash in cold water, something I have never liked to do! Some times you need hot and a full tanks ! I advise everyone to fix their old washers, don™€™t buy new, you will be so disappointed™€¦ turns out some already knew this and hate their newer washers too!! Unless my old washer was returned fixed, I will remain unhappy and sad and angry about the $ spent!

We bought this washer in January. I have never owned a washing machine this frustrating. If you don't wash your normal size load on deep water cycle, it does not rinse properly, leaving soap residue on the clothes. I cannot wash a queen size set of sheets by themselves on any cycle without it going unbalanced and not draining or spinning. Also, as a smaller complaint, it does not have a finished cycle buzzer so you need to keep checking to see if load is done. I do not recommend this machine.

This is junk. Don't get scammed. Watch "you tube videos". There is no vertical agitator in the washer. Only little nubs on the floor of the basket. They are not enough to pull clothing under the three inches of water that is poured into the washer before it starts to agitate. I have to add at least 4 or 5 large buckets of water to make sure the clothes are covered with water. This is even when I'm using the "deep water" selection. There is NO rinse cycle. The basket spins the clothes up against the side wall while the "faucet" sprinkles water on to the floor of the basket. Not even getting on the clothes. DON'T GET SCAMMED.

Worst Washer ever

I bought this washer specifically because it is top load, to take full large loads, thought was a good reliable brand. Within 21 months needed repair, something about a faulty control board. Replaced, now at 2.5 years, (4-5 months later) its something about a faulty lid lock and no longer under warranty. RIDICULOUS, a washer that only lasts 2 years, and they would not allow me to purchase an extended warranty after the first repair. They said I had to purchase within 90 days of initial purchase.

I read some of the 3 and 2-star reviews and many people don't like how little water comes into the tub. I was the same and so here is what worked for me: 1) run whites cycle; 2) select the Deep Water option. This allowed PLENTY of water into the tub and provided what I was looking for. Like many machines, products, electronics, whatever...there are a lot of options but one that works best. I would have given 5 stars but (like many other reviewers) I am disappointed with the lack of user documentation included with the unit.

New washer without fabric dispenser.

New washer model WTW5020SW impeller. It does not have a fabric softener dispenser. It does have an option to turn on Fabric Softener in the rinse cycle. During the wash cycle lid locks so you have to watch for the cycle to end and spin out wash water. Then you can PAUSE the washer to load softener, otherwise to goes on and finishes the wash. If you put the softener ball in the beginning of the wash the fabric softener was drained during the wash spin cycle. If you have an answer for this let me know.

I bought this washer a year ago and I really like it. My husband is a mason and comes home very dirty, the heavy duty cycle cleans these close really well. The soak cycle is a plus to have for stained clothing that need an extra boost. Just a couple things though, it does make a loud noise when it starts and shifts between cycles and I wish it showed more of the stages of wash, for instance it goes from soak to wash to done it does not show when it™€™s in rinse or spin cycle which I think is flaw not to have. Other than that I really like this machine my clothes come out very clean and I love the large tub for big loads.

I thought I bought the same quality as before, with Whirlpool. I did not. The machine is noisy, doesn™€™t have dispensers for detergent or softener, doesn™€™t spin the water out, near as well as my old Cabrio, and that means longer running time on the dryer. This washer also takes longer to do a wash. Not a happy customer. Oh, and don™€™t call Whirlpool, because they give you the run around; and pass you from call to call, hoping you™€™ll hang up. And the last woman I got, after being on the phone for over 2 hrs ., was in no way a customer relations expert™€¦

After extensive reviewing, I decided to try an impeller washer; the former unit had an agitator. It washes fine, no issues with clothes not being clean. Comparing the 2, I think I prefer a washer with an agitator. You don't have to be so picky on how to load it. Plus there are so many different settings and each one has a different run time. The only way to know this is to look online since there is no manual to speak of given, just a quick start sheet. I do like that it has a built in faucet for quick rinsing, but I didn't notice that there is not a fabric softener dispenser; you're suppose to listen for when the machine pauses and then add softener. I've been using a Downy fabric softener dispenser instead. I was very pleased with my former machine which was a Whirlpool and hope this one provides the same long service as it did.

Just getting it to start is a hope and a prayer. The button says, hold to start. You can hold till ur blue. It locks, it unlocks, it locks; then if ur lucky it begins. I just got this machine to replace the GE machine I had for the last four years. Loved the GE machine, but even though it had a 10 year motor warranty, the barrel rusted out underneath the impeller four years in, which means it was a crappy design. My landlord purchased this whirlpool top load impeller washer to replace it and get it installed in a couple of days so I wasn™€™t without laundry. It has less controls, it does not show you the amount of time you have left on your cycle, which is a huge downer since it™€™s good for someone to know how much time they have left on their cycle, it™€™s super loud. It™€™s missing a soap dish dispenser, which I do miss ™€“ I think using a Downey ball or putting the soap directly on clothing is kind of ghetto and old school. The faucet feature is cool but the other thing I™€™ve noticed is when it spins it doesn™€™t really spin the clothes all that dry, they are still a bit moist to the point where I wasn™€™t sure if my dryer would actually dry them well enough. The dryer has been able to dry them well enough so so far so good but I would say the biggest things that hit me or the fact that it™€™s super loud it doesn™€™t spin clothes very dry. It™€™s missing the soap and softener dispenser and I really miss the digital time factor showing how long the load takes. Also being able to adjust spin would be a great addition ™€“ something GE did better. I do hope this washer lasts a full 10 years like it™€™s supposed to. I™€™m thankful to have it, but it certainly could use some sound dampening (wash cycles and filling are both incredibly loud) and a few extra features to make it better

Horrible. Do not purchase.

Washer broke within 8 months of purchase. When we contacted the warranty department they were nearly impossible to get a hold of and nobody showed up for the appointment. We had to purchase a new washer (not whirlpool) and received nothing for the warranty. This was the worst service. If you call the company you'll be on hold for an hour that is if you even get through to anyone. Seriously, go a with a different brand.

My old washer was leaking,so it was time to replace it. I am enjoying the much larger capacity but am very frustrated with the lack of instructions- in print and online. I have no idea what some buttons do. The store employee Googled my questions and still couldn™€™t answer them. Frustrating.

Doesn't wash well.

It does not wash all the clothes well. No!, I didn't over stuff the washer. No!, it wasn't under water level, I even used the Deep water cycle. Some clothes still come out spotted dry areas.

Worst washer ever !! who™€™s bright idea was it to not have a dispenser for liquid fabric softener who stands there waiting for the rinse cycle to add it ™€¦.no one ever!! Get better design and give what we need ! Never again will I purchase this brand.

Great disappointment

No one seems to be able to tell me how to use it. Your staff showed me the manual which only tells me how to install it. Can™€™t seem to figure out what high deep water is used for no what I use the faucet for. When I tried using the faucet and put soap in there when I lifted the cover it all drained out. I keep wasting the tide pads when touching the shut off because everything drains off. Doesn™€™t seem like I can add something after it starts. No, I am very unhappy with it and would not recommend it to anyone. I have had others try to help me and so far no success.

I picked up my washer at Lowes in Wise, VA . I used it for the first time and it washed one load, after 8 other attempts of trying to wash a second load, I contacted the Lowes in Wise. They flat out refused to let me return it. They did not inform me I had to purchase their Lowes warranty before I could return it to them. I called Whirlpool Manufacturing and they were very nice and sent someone out immediately to fix my machine. I am pleased with Whirlpool but not Lowes.
